This past November, David released a full length album entitled, “ALL MY LOVE IS FOR YOU”, a Pop Rock album, entirely composed, performed, arranged and produced by himself, and we got an inside look at that work right here on ET!

How did you get your start in music? When did you realize you had a talent you wanted to pursue? I started as a pianist when I was very young and then decided to become a singer when I was 16. I never thought that I had a talent as per say, but more of a talent to have the desire to make my dreams come true!

If you could describe your sounds in three words, what would they be? Variety, Strong, Entertaining!

Tell us about your new single, “You Are For Me”. What went into the writing and recording process to make this single possible? This song just came in my head one day…I did a lot of work regarding the arrangements and the production of it. There are more than 40 music tracks just on this song.

How is this single different from your full album, “All My Love Is For You”. Which track would you say is your favorite? How about a favorite to perform live? The album has a variety of styles in a way. There are song more R&B, others more Adult Contemporary, and You Are for Me is very Pop-Rock. I love all those songs because they all mean something special to me. A different feeling to express.

What is the music scene like in Paris? It’s a great scene and a lot of great songwriters. We’re lucky to be in the center of Europe so it’s a good merge of styles and genres.

How did the city of Paris influence your work? I cried a lot over Parisian girls !! (laugh) So I have good souvenirs which inspired me all those songs.

How is it different in New York? Do you find it to be a great music city? I love New York so much ! New York makes me want to be better everyday. I’m also an actor and I do a lot of movies, TV and theater. This month I’m playing the lead role of Shylock (Merchant of Venice) and the title roles of Nabucco (Opera Nabucco) and Othello (Shakespeare’s Othello) in April and June at the Center for Jewish History for the American Sephardi Federation. New York is such a cosmopolitan city and a multicultural where all talents speak the language.

What was the influence for the album artwork for “All My Love Is For You”? I’m from a Classic world (Opera, Broadway and Jazz). I loved the idea that (for once) I removed my jacket which kind of meant « Let’s have fun ! »
Who are some of your musical influences? I perform and listen so many genres from Pop, Jazz, Rock, R&B, Smooth Jazz, Opera and Broadway ! I believe that all those styles are in this album which makes it unique in a way.

What is next for you in 2016? I’m going to perform this album quite everywhere and promote it on radios. It’s actually playing on more than 50 radios in the US and 30 in the UK. I’m doing 3 new TV series that I already shoot and a new one called NAPOLEON IN NEW YORK where I’m playing Napoleon. It’s a serie that I wrote and that I’m actually developping. I have quite a lot of concerts scheduled until the summer and the lead roles of Shylock, Nabucco and Othello in New York. 2016 will be a good year!
