Hello Stuart, very nice to meet you, and to get the chance to ask you a few questions for the blog!

First off, could you tell us a bit about yourself? What are your favorite hobbies or activities outside of music and acting? What inspired you to begin pursuing each of these creative endeavors?

I’m not sure what you mean with “Hobbies or activities.” I’m not selecting anything in my life. What I do is what I have to do.

What is it like living in Deutschland? What is the music scene of your hometown (Arnsberg) like?

It is my birth town and where I’ve grown up. Every decision I made in my life happened here. It is just a town. I can have and get everything I want here and everywhere, as long as I feel that I am connected with the universe. I’m not interested in “Scenes”. There is no need.

What life experiences and events led to the writing and recording of your latest record “When I Hit the Time Ghost of 22nd Century”? Could you walk us through each of the featured tracks? What was the recording process like for this album?

It took a long time to manifest the pieces. If you listen deep you’ll find yourself in a higher frequency. Than when the interest is stimulated, you starting thinking about the universe you are in.

The album title should be read careful over and over again. “When I Hit The Time Ghost Of The 22nd Century”. During the process I reached more and more undefined areas. An invincible concentrated dynamic was the consequence. From genius to a dangerous level of consciousness I moved on. And over four hard disc and three computers crashed during the time with hard times of saving all important and precious data  and studio worked material. These part during the 3 years was the hardest and painfully, because every  instrumental recording had the special unexpected frequency. There was not only those tones from an instrument, there was a ghost and new born consciousness behind the tones what was telling me something, but I couldn’t translate it really, so I fought day and nights to save the crashed broken datas. A conspiracy –  I thought I am going through in those disaster times. But I could save the most material of course. At the end it transported me to see a vision. It was a real vision and that vision is manifested in this spectacular album pieces. The album title fits it fanatic. When I Hit the Time Ghost Of the 22nd Century.  It is one of those records that getting from year to year better as a good old wine or whatever. The album title fits it fanatic. When I Hit the Time Ghost Of the 22nd Century.

You’re also an actor, correct? Could you tell us about some of the most exciting or interesting moments you’ve encountered on stage?

Text learning was a strange thing for me. If I learned seriously, I felt safe on stage and that was fatal. You can not be surprised by yourself pureness. A role never function in control, it kills the magic moments. People want to be entertained by these elements.

The disaster of not knowing the text exactly, gave me the most brilliant moments. So improvisation is my strength. The finest creativity, I believe, you can reach by improvisations.

What will you will be working on / towards in 2015? What does the new year hold in store for Stuart Styron?

Cd & Record release of 2 albums definitely. And there is a  plan doing new songs with an awesome producer and talented musician.
