ET: How did you get your start into music? Was it something you always knew you’d pursue?
Wolf Critton: Since I could remember I was always poetic to say the least . I never really had an an ambition to make music till Iraq. However I do recall even as a child the ambition to be heard.
ET: What kind of experience did you have in the military as a soldier? How did you use music as your outlet?
WC: I served two tours in Iraq as an 11 Bravo (infantry). I would say I had a life changing experience in the military, being it gave me a deeper appreciation of life being that over seas you must embrace the possibility of death. Music kept me sane and kept my soul and emotions intact instead of destroyed.
ET: You have a wonderful soulful voice, which I am sure you have heard many times! When did you find your sound?
WC: I found my sound in the desert. Being out there I found out my fiancé cheated on me and when I picked up my first guitar music poured out of me like a second language . It all started in. 2008.
ET: Who are some of your influences musically? And lyrically, what do you try to convey through your music?
WC: My two biggest influences musically is my big brother Daniel Dillard and Terri Robinson (platinum singer songwriter). If it wasn’t for their love and constant direction I’d be a whisper in a room Full of screams. When I write and play my intention is to let those know that dealed with heart breaking moments their not alone and can survive just like I did. Wear your scars on the outside and nothing can hurt you.
ET: What are your future plans for the rest of 2014? Releases, shows, tours?
WC: Well recently I released a new music video and song. Directed by Mike Mage and the song was Co Produced and engineered by Emanuel C Brown. The response has been amazing , many opportunity’s have presented selves, so “if you want to make god laugh tell him your plans.” Shows are constantly booked so most of my shows and tour dates are on my website, along with my music.
